Acceptance of terms

By downloading or using Idly, you agree to be bound by these terms of service. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

About Idly

Idly is a language learning app developed and operated by Chankla LLC, a company formed in New Mexico, United States. The app helps users practice languages through interactive content and AI conversation coaches (virtual characters, not real human instructors).

Eligibility

Idly is intended for users aged 13 and older. By using the app, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the app.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Idly only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:

  • Use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
  • Use the app to transmit harmful, offensive, or unauthorized content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the app

Subscriptions and payments (Idly Pro)

Idly offers an optional premium subscription called “Idly Pro” that provides additional features.

  • Payment: Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account upon purchase confirmation.
  • Auto-renewal: The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Renewal charges: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • Managing subscriptions: You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your App Store or Google Play account settings after purchase.
  • Trials: Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

End User License Agreement (EULA)

By using Idly, you also agree to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement or the equivalent Google Play terms, as applicable to your device. Apple's EULA is available at: Apple Standard EULA.

Intellectual property

All content in Idly — including text, graphics, language content, and software — is owned by Chankla LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the app without our prior written consent.

Disclaimer of warranties

Idly is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Chankla LLC does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chankla LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or related to your use of Idly.

Changes to the app or terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue Idly, or to update these terms, at any time. Changes to the terms will be indicated by an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
